Short basic handgun tips & drills that you can take with you to the range for practice.

Target Acquisition Drill

Practice visually moving from one target to another, refocusing your sight picture, and getting rounds on the each target.

Distance - 7-12 feet from target
Rounds - 2 rounds to each target per attempt

Hit Small, Aim Small

Sometimes called "Aim Small, Miss Small"... but we don't plan on missing! This drill will help you narrow your focus to a smaller portion of the target versus the whole sheet.

Distance: 7-12 feet from target

Drawing Firearm While Moving

** Non-shooting drill ** Practice drawing your firearm while moving away from danger. Can be done at home or a range, just be sure to have NO AMMO in your gun or magazine while doing this.

 

How to Properly Carry Extra Magazines

Make sure you carry your magazines the correct way.
